Nick has spent the last few years working on improving himself both personally and professionally. Having a virtually non-existent athletic background, a pinnacle of personal development came in attaining a black belt in the martial arts. Throughout his training, Nick worked through injuries, and gave his share of blood, sweat, and tears to reach this goal. However, he realizes that this rank is only the beginning of a much longer journey, and a lifetime commitment to physical wellness.
Nick has enjoyed competing in various tournaments since he started training as a white belt. He has won numerous awards throughout this time, but his favorite events include sparring and breaking. In class, Nick was awarded highest points for 2004, which included credit for class attendance, tournament awards, and martial arts demonstrations.
Aside from karate, Nick enjoyed many other activities to keep his life busy. While not working as a computer security professional, Nick can be found playing the piano, doing something else in computers, or just spending time with his wife, Hillari. During his martial arts training, Nick also completed his Master's degree, and became an FAA certified Private Pilot.
Nick enjoyed instructing as a part of his development and training. He brings a great sense of humor to his teaching style, and really aims to make everyone feel like they are a part of the martial arts family. He stands by the idea that if he made it through the ranks to become a black belt, anyone with enough determination and perseverance can reach that goal as well. Nick intended to help anyone with that drive who comes to him reach their own goals as well.
Update: Nick married Hillari and living in their house in Northampton. They are proud of their daughter and son.
